Unstructured Podcast – Episode 002 – Tim “Lucho” Waggoner Professional Ultra-runner and Ironman
Tim “Lucho” Waggoner started running at the tender age of 10 and then went on to multiple Kansas state track and field championships. He would also later become a two time All-American in college. He then decided to drop out after two years and began to travel eventually settling in the U.S. Virgin Islands, where he then lived for four years.
Tim tired of living a party lifestyle, after he quit smoking and entered his first triathlon he placed third. Roughly four years later he placed 16th overall at the Ironman World Championships in Kona, Hawaii. He would then later go on to set the course record for Ironman.
He now lives in the mountains of Colorado just outside Boulder, and has become a highly sought-after endurance coach. Tim is a vastly popular expert and co-host on “Ask the Coaches” (ATC) show On Endurance Planet.
