Jerri Williams is a retired FBI Agent, author, and she is also the host of the excellent FBI Retired Case File Review podcast. Williams served 26 years as a Special Agent with the FBI. During her career her investigations were mainly focused on economic crimes. In her most famous case she investigated were a $350 million Ponzi scheme that targeted nonprofit organizations and high-profile philanthropists. The Ponzi scheme used an international advanced-fee scam, and a business-to-business telemarketing fraud that also included a long-term undercover operation.
The international advance fee scam case she conducted resulted in a 14 year prison sentence and also led to the forfeiture of the subject’s residence. Her major investigation of this business to business telemarketing fraud, resulted in 16 search warrants, 25 convictions, and also led to numerous multi-year prison terms. Jerri has also received numerous awards throughout her career, that include four United States Attorney Awards for Distinguished Service. She was appointed as the spokesperson for the Philadelphia Division of the FBI, near the end of her career.
