Episode 206 – Jim Casey the Retired SAC and FBI agent with 32 years in law enforcement
Jim Casey has had a truly distinguished career of over thirty-two years in law enforcement. Prior to his FBI service he was a police officer for five years in Arlington, Virginia. Jim also served two years as a Special Agent with the U.S. State Department’s Bureau of Diplomatic Security. In 2004-2005 he was a Director of Intelligence Programs on the National Security Council (NSC) at the George W. Bush White House. This all culminated to him being assigned as the Special Agent in Charge (SAC) of the FBI’s Jacksonville Field Office between 2008-2012.
Jim has a Bachelor of Science in Political Science from James Madison University. As well as a Master of Arts in Criminology from Indiana State University. He also has a Graduate Diploma in International Relations from the University of London in the U.K. Casey proudly serves on the Board of Directors for Crime Stoppers and he is a member of the International Security Managers Association. As well as the Society of Former Special Agents of the FBI and Fraternal Order of Police (FOP) Lodge #113.
First Coast Security
After retiring from the FBI, Jim was also the leader and founding partner of a boutique investigative consulting firm For two years. From 2013-2017 he also served as the Vice President for Asset Protection at the national retailer Stein Mart, Inc. Casey then went on to join First Coast Security (FCS) as Chief Operating Officer in late 2017. First Coast Security has recently spun off into a completely new business, FCS Global Advisors. This is where they help clients with complex investigations, litigation support, crisis management and executive background investigations. As well as the due diligence for important business decisions such as M&A, and cyber response and investigations. Thecompany uses a world-wide network of former FBI agents and members of the intel community to assist their clients.
