Episode 212 – You're Lying! Body Language and Interrogation with Lena Sisco
Lena Sisco is a former Navy Intelligence Officer as well as a DoD certified interrogator. She also worked as a Naval Human Intelligence (HUMINT) Officer serving in the Global War on Terror. Sisco interrogated members of al Qaida and Taliban shortly after 9/11 at Camp Delta in Guantanamo Bay in Cuba. She used her ability to build rapport to employ effective questioning techniques, while accurately reading body language. Lena also conducted statement analysis and she ultimately gained the trust and cooperation from radical individuals with strong allegiances to each other. That led to numerous successes that saved American lives and she became the recipient of the Joint Service, the Navy/Marine Corp Commendation, as well as Achievement Medals.
Lena has worked for the Office of Naval Intelligence, Defense Intelligence Agency and also partnered with the Federal Bureau of Investigation. As well as the Naval Criminal Investigative Service in HUMINT collection activities. Sisco has continued to trai numerous DoD and Department of Homeland Security (DHS) personnel since 2003. She is also certified in Organizational Change Management instruments. Sisco trains numerous government agency personnel that include NGA and NASA, in leadership skills, organizational change management, and enhanced interpersonal communication skills as a SAIC facilitator. She works for SAIC as a principle training analyst
that educates government agency personnel in leadership foundations, mindfulness and communication practices.
The Congruency Group
In October 2013 she founded her own company, The Congruency Group. She did this in order to train people in body language and detecting deception skills, interviewing and interrogation techniques, elicitation methods, deceptive analysis and enhanced communication skills. Sisco also holds a Master’s Degree from Brown University in Old World Archaeology and Art. She is also a published author, TEDx Speaker, and has served as an Expert Witness on the TV Show Couples Court. Lena has also been a guest speaker for the International SPY Museum and has featured in their Martar Hari exhibit.
